To the left are recently re-imagined cover artworks to my first three picture books.
When it Snows (2012), Lionheart (2016), and Tiny Little Rocket (2018).
All three of the original covers were drawn back at a distance focusing on the ladscape or an interaction between the protagonists. For the revamps, I wanted to to focus on one character, close enough for the viewer to be able to look at the reflections in their eyes. This is slightly turned on its head for the Tiny Little Rocket, as we never see the pilots face, only the reflection in his helmet. The more close up nature of the illustrations allowed me to shift the focus onto the decorative typeface I had previously designed for each cover.
