Our client is a famous global brand with diverse business interests that include retail, TV, consumer goods, graphic design, publishing and many other areas.

My client has a centralised creative team that includes graphic designer, web designers, web developers and project co-ordinators and managers.

We're looking for a Front-End Developer to join their dynamic and close-knit team who are looking to drive real innovation on their websites and across the web.

Main areas of responsibility: • Convert Photoshop templates into dynamic web pages • Update, maintain and troubleshoot existing websites • Support and troubleshoot the day to day technical needs for existing websites • Coordinate timelines and work flow with Project Manager and Lead Developer • Keep up to date with the latest front end procedures and developments and assess their usefulness • Flag any necessary input from the Head of Online/Project Coordinator/Lead Developer, flag any potential hold-ups as early as possible, ensure 3rd parties and internal managers have all necessary information in a timely fashion • Work effectively with all teams, companies and associates to ensure consistency, efficiency, professionalism and effective communication • Attend internal meetings as required and to provide updates on your area of responsibility upon request • Enforce and comply with all company policies and procedures which are fundamental in maintaining effective performance, communication and good business reputation

The Person: • Strong initiative and good communication skills • Proficient in HTML (with experience of HMTL 5), JavaScript and CSS • Ability to slice and code Photoshop templates to a high standard • Web and graphic design experience; ability to assist with creative duties (e.g. template and banner design) • Awareness of emerging practices (e.g. responsive web) • Browser testing and awareness of W3C standards • Eye for detail

It would be fantastic if you had experience with PHP and MySQL but this is not essential.
