The Role

We are looking for an outstandingly creative mid-weight/senior interior designer whose role is to design and deliver ideas for a variety of 3D projects for clients such as Adidas, Fred Perry, Dubai Airports, P&G and Oxfam.

You will be full of your own ideas to contribute at concept stage and also be able to ensure that our high creative standards are delivered across all of the touch points of the projects. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes interior design whilst at the same time understanding the relevance and importance of brand. The ideal candidates will able to sketch up their creative ideas quickly but persuasively for consideration.

Responsibilities

Your range of duties will include;

1. Provide design delivery across all project stages

• At Briefing stage; creative/design direction, interpret accurately and challenge, identify wider opportunities, execute and deliver first class design on client projects
• manage your work with account manager and senior designer to ensure we deliver work effectively, identifying, clarifying and ultimately solving any issues that may develop in the course of projects
• to be articulate in team meetings and present design

2. Perform excellently in your team

• demonstrate confidence and clarity, forward planning about what needs to be done
• feed seniors and design team with stimulus / influence / inspiration / current trends
• contribute to a positive team environment   
• support and nurture the development of skills and behaviour in others 

3. Build the client business though creative design

• creative input into brief, develop consistent design delivery
•  watch creative and design press for new developments relevant to the client

4. Raise the profile of Start JG within the industry

• attend internal forums and external visits, bring the outside in, press, trends, ‘gurus', street, culture       

5. Add value to the business

• Invigorate the creative of the agency by identifying ‘new blood' and employing the stars of the future. Maintain a constant flow of student placements.

About you

What we would like to see from you is;

• Someone who lives and breathes interior design whilst at the same time understanding the relevance and importance of brand.
• A minimum of 2 years 3D environmental design experience. Experience within retail environment is desirable
• Able to bring the outside in, through inspiration, passion and optimism
• Able to work to deadlines and meet changing priorities
• Fantastic sketching ability demonstrated in your portfolio of work
• Experience using Acad and/or Vectorworks. An understanding of Photoshop, in-design, 3D studio is desirable
• An excellent eye for detail and consistency, applied to all design work
