Experienced Front-End developer required to join a market-leading ecommerce business £50k+ Are you an effective leader? Can you take ownership of a project from start to finish? My client is a thriving ecommerce company that operates several big-name brands within their industry.

They are looking for a driven, self-motivated individual to lead a front-end development team: mentoring junior developers and liaising with the line manager to define and maintain high standards in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other technologies.

You:

* Are a critical thinker, able to engage with systems performance and identify problem areas in the delivery process and make changes accordingly

* Have an eye for detail to ensure that pixel-perfect representations of designs are delivered

The role:

* Inteface with the Creative Team to translate PSD into clean, pixel-perfect XHTML/ CSS code

* Collaborating with project managers to identify and prioritize daily tasks 

* Implementing tested and validated code into content delivery systems

* Give input regarding the use of new technologies to improve user experience. 

* Provide professional leadership and guidance to junior staff Required experience: 

* Expert skills in hand-coding XHTML and CSS to W3C standards

* Strong skills in AJAX, jQuery, and other JavaScript for rich Web 2.0 interfaces. 

* A good understanding of website performance and optimisation

* Good understanding of server-side technologies, ASP.NET (C#)

* In-depth knowledge CSS3 and HTML5

* In-depth knowledge and understanding of browser capabilities and restrictions Must be able to provide samples of work, online portfolio and code samples.
