Web Developer (Php, MySQL / PostgreSQL, Apache, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

This digital agency has offices based in London and internationally and is looking for an mid-level web developer to work alongside a Head of Technical and Digital Design Director in a growing development / design team. The existing digital team is made up of 12 people with a range of skills and experience across the digital marketing mix.

This role requires a talented and enthusiastic mid-level web developer who has real passion, air and commitment to developing attractive, functional websites, applications and back end systems.

The ideal candidate will be hungry to work on a varied range of projects across an interesting mix of clients. They will be expected to manage development focussed projects and must be able to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines and be naturally collaborative.

Based in central London, you will be joining a small studio in an exciting, dynamic digital agency with a growing creative and development team working in a relaxed and professional environment on a range of interesting and challenging projects.

Essential skills

  • - Mid-weight, with a demonstrable portfolio of published work for agency clients
  • - Highly proficient in core LAMP technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL or PostgreSQL & PHP)
  • - Skilled in managing and guiding development projects
  • - Experience in server management (Apache/SSH)
  • - Experience with Object Orientated Programming
  • - Experience with HTML, CSS & Javascript


Advantageous

  • - Direct experience working in an agency
  • - Experience with versioning systems (Git/ SVN)
  • - Experience with mobile development (Native iOS & Android and/or 'Webapps')
  • - Working knowledge and experience of different social networking tools and APIs (Twitter / Facebook / YouTube / Google etc)
  • - Exposure to .net
