Zermatt is a new agency, that crosses most media. The nearest analogy is that it’s the beautiful love child of a design agency and an ad agency. We’re a tiny team (not physically – just in terms of head count).  We operate in the luxury, travel, property and fashion arenas, and are looking to branch into more.

We need a Designer/Art Director who’s equally happy designing a beautiful brand identity as she/he is designing a Double Page Spread in the  quality Sundays. You can’t have it all, but some facility with Digital/Web is also definitely a plus.

We’re probably talking a middleweight 3 to 5 years experience.

Down-to-earth and client friendly, the ideal candidate may be someone who has worked in big agencies, but would now prefer a smaller but ambitious team, without the politics. We’re thinking a person that creates vibrant, alluring design, but doesn’t mind picking up the phone or making a cup of tea. We’re looking for creative altitude, not creative attitude.

We have briefs that just require great design, but we also have high-pressure fast-turnaround business that still has to be beautiful, so we need someone comfortable with deadlines.

Attention to detail is also a key required attribute.

We see this is a temp to perm opportunity, as a short temp period allows each side to see if the other fits. In a micro start up like ours, compatibility is everything, and you can’t possibly know that from a portfolio and an interview.
