Responsibilities
The chosen candidate will be responsible for the design and 3D visualization of retail
furniture, interiors, etc, from conception through to production for major international
clients. You will require excellent visualisation skills and the ability to produce technical
drawings for production purposes, but specifically you will require strong proficiency with
Illustrator, Photoshop and be an expert with a 3D rendering package, ideally 3D Studio
Max, which is the software that we use.
As part of the role, you will be working on various day-to-day tasks, as well as long-term
projects. You will have the ability to work across multiple disciplines alongside existing 3D
Designers. You will be expected to work on a variety of brands in various retail channels,
so must be commercially minded.
In return, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to get involved with a broad range of projects
and get to see your ideas come to life. You will also learn new skills as you progress
your career without the limitations you’ll find in larger organisations.
The role requires a confident, self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail.
Skills Required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• 4 years’ minimum relevant work experience and some understanding of the
marketing communications industry.
• Conceptual creative thinking and hand visualization (i.e. scamps).
• 2D visualisation of concepts (i.e. Photoshop).
• 3D renderings of designs to a very high level (e.g. 3D Studio Max).
• Creation of design intent and accurate technical drawings that can be followed
through to production.
• Development of presentation material for client presentations.
• Remaining in touch with the fabrication, specification and application of
production materials.
• Overseeing the production of prototypes or bespoke material.
• Organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to manage several projects at
once.
• An interest and appreciation of good design, particularly product design.
• A high degree of energy, flexibility, patience and above all common sense.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
Software Skills Required
• Excellence with 3D Studio Max.
• Strong proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop.
