Graphic Designers

Following Sky's recent announcement of its Formula 1 coverage and coupled with its expansion into the new HD Studio complex, several opportunities have arisen within the Creative department for Graphic Designers.

Sky Creative is an award winning, highly creative, busy and exciting department. We are an internal Creative agency, supporting the whole business - both the platform and the network of channels, providing creative design solutions on-air, off-air and for convergent media.

The overall objective of the Graphic designer is to provide inventive and inspired design solutions for programme packaging and content for Sky Sports News' live 24 hour news output with the ability to take creative, production and communication responsibilities for projects of various size and complexity.

Specific Responsibilities will be:
* Demonstrate excellent conceptual and creative skills.
* To provide comprehensive design and production expertise.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Be self-confident, pro-active, motivated and enthusiastic.
* Ability to work unsupervised on an individual basis as well being a team player.
* Capacity to juggle several projects simultaneously.
* Ability to teach and mentor junior team members.
* Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.


To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a broadcast design environment with a broad interest and awareness of art, design, moving image and of course Sport. Comprehensive knowledge of Apple Mac software - particularly After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and ideally Cinema 4D will be required. A knowledge and understanding of current production tools and equipment with an awareness of technical and legal requirements within the broadcast industry will be necessary.
