GENERAL PURPOSE OF ROLE

To meet the professional demands of BS&T clientelle for all print/production services offered by the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

        •  To support the Production Manager and designated team in the production of all brochures. 

        •  Production of page templates and page layouts, based on information and designs supplied.

        •  To implement design and/or evolutionise existing designs.

        •  To be able to troubleshoot production issues.

        •  Image selection from briefs, image manipulation and retouching.

        •  Pre-flighting and checking of proofs to ensure extremely high standards.

        •  The ability to interpret a design/brochure brief and act accordingly, to have the confidence to               offer suggestions and advice where necessary.

        •  Maintain brand consistency

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

        •  Must be an experienced Artworker / Mac Operator ideally with experience in a print                              production environment.

        •  A working knowledge of digital photography and the ability to edit and/or colour correct RAW              files would be advantageous.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

        •  Knowledge of In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Ms Word, Ms Excel.

        •  An understanding of the Apple Mac operating system.

        •  An intuitive and creative thinker, able to analyse problems and produce solutions.

        •  Self motivated and pro-active.

        •  A good team player with a can do attitude

        •  Able to maintain a polite and positive relationship with both team members and clients.

        •  An excellent eye for detail.

        •  Be flexible and willing to put in the extra time when deadlines are tight.

        •  Able to work within a fast-paced environment with changing and various deadlines.

        •  Must be well organised, hard working and able to multi-task.
