Junior Designer

COUTURELAB.COM is an established global Internet retailer built on the philosophy that luxury goes beyond seasons and trends, or cultural boundaries. COUTURELAB.COM collaborates with brands, designers, artists, galleries and expert craftsmen, from all parts of the globe to curate and sell their creations in its online content & commerce destination.

Reporting to the Art Director, the successful applicant will be responsible to create and deliver engaging and exciting daily, weekly, monthly visuals for COUTURELAB.COM. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated and hardworking team player who is able to work efficiently in creating and producing award winning digital designs.

Responsibilities

Excellent sense of typography and good understanding of print and web design and the restrictions of each media;

Ability to translate COUTURELAB brand into beautiful, elegant creative materials;

Design online components such as HTML emails/ banners and other offline collateral as required;

Produce business presentations in Powerpoint and PDF formats;

Photo retouching skills;

Supporting the Art Director;

Any other ad-hoc duties within the Art/Photography/Editorial departments;

Essential Skills & Requirements

1/2 years design experience in-house or agency environment for ecommerce/ online publishing;

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, Acrobat and Microsoft Office;

Understanding of HTML (Dreamweaver), CSS, Flash and FTP

Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure;

Luxury awareness a plus;

Being able to adapt quickly to changing priorities;

Friendly, interested individual with good sense of humour;

Attention to detail essential;

Excellent work ethos and good timekeeping;

Ability to take direction as well as producing scheduled design materials and initiating new concepts when required;
